A 1960s hand-wound movement from a Swiss manufacturer and a modern Japanese automatic require different handling at every stage of service. We don't flatten that distinction.

Honest about what we find

If a service is unlikely to resolve the issue — for instance, if a mainspring is too far gone — we say that at intake, not after the work is done. There is no advantage to us in performing a service that won't help the watch.
